These are concept sketches of Basiliscus, my cruising trimaran design. This is only a starting point, and the finished design probably won't look anything like these.
The latest version has been rearranged to a Brown Searunner style inside. I really like the way this uses the available space and positions everything where you need it to be. The biggest packaging problem has been the 7 foot centerboard. The long board is intended to give comparable performance to a dagger board, while still providing the crusing safety of a kickup centerboard.
The mast has been moved back to midships, bringing the forestay with it, so that an asymmetrical spinnaker can be tacked to the bow without a pole. This will probably change, with the mast being moved forward a couple of feet.
